Here is a little snippet of a silly little fic I started last night (which is the most writing I've done in a month 🙃) pls validate me because my brain has been broken since I posted my last fic

First of all, Eddie never even wanted to download the damn dating app. The only reason his account even exists is because two hefty glasses of wine at Hen and Karen’s had lowered his inhibitions just enough that he rolled his eyes and handed his phone over to them to get them to shut up about getting him back out there. Secondly, the guy staring back at him on his screen is definitely not the type of guy that Eddie would swipe right on, even if he were remotely interested in dating someone from this app. But he’s had a few more glasses of wine since they set up his profile, and the guy is fucking hot. “Oh shit,” he says by accident when the guy’s profile shows up. The words escape his lips before he can stop them, taken aback by the perfectly chiseled abs on his screen, a sheen of sweat glimmering on his skin. Hen looks up from her phone, eyebrows raised. “No one has pulled that reaction from you yet.” Before he can respond, Eddie feels his mouth drop open as he scrolls through the guy’s profile. Ex-stripper turned med student. Willing to trade lap dances for a nice message. Here for a rotation. Hen and Karen crowd beside him to get a glimpse at his phone and immediately burst out laughing. Eddie blames the wine for the blush he feels creeping up his neck.

Does it seem to bother you when someone doesn't reply to your messages? >> It bothers me if they have a consistent habit of leaving me hanging in conversations that haven’t reached what I consider a logical end.

How many times a day, on average, do you think critically about something? >> How would I even keep track of this...

Are you someone who speaks their mind, or do you hold it all in? >> I tend to keep things to myself, these days. I used to speak my mind all the time, and there’s really no great benefit to it. I’m still honest and direct when I do speak, and I think that’s good enough. No one needs to know most of the stuff I think and feel unless it’s really productive in the moment -- or unless they’ve pissed me off to the point where I don’t care how they feel about what I have to say, which is luckily a rare occurrence.

Does it make you angry when people complain an excessive amount around you? >> Not angry, just extremely irritated and bored. It makes me want to leave their presence immediately (or block/mute them, if it’s online).

Do you like watching people fight or do you stay out of the way of things? >> Sometimes it’s entertaining, but most of the time it’s just exasperating or distracting. If they’re loud, which people tend to be when they’re arguing, then it’s sensory overload time and I’m ready to leave.

Do you encourage people or do you tend to put them down for things? >> I don’t have a habit of putting people down, but I also don’t make a particular point of being vocally encouraging. 

What would you consider your favorite pattern? (zebra print, floral, etc.) >> I don’t know, I’ve never thought about it.

At what age did you actually hit puberty? Was it hard for you to handle? >> I don’t remember, and I’m not sure there was a particular age when -- BOOM! -- puberty happened. It’s kind of a gradual process that is easier to recognise in hindsight than when it’s actively happening. And yes, the whole process of transitioning from childhood to sexual maturity was extremely difficult for me for a variety of reasons (most related to the process, some not).

Are you considered a graceful person or are you more clumsy? >> I am more graceful than I am clumsy.

That pulls a sputtering noise out of her, the noise distinctly disbelieving. “You think I’m your conscience?”

Bellamy’s pretty sure that hearing voices in his head is bad enough, let alone the fact that it’s coming from his supposed soulmate. (Or, a bellarke soulmates au, basically.)

Married at First Sight, Rated T, 3,747 words

The concept of the show is this: a panel of experts will pair him with someone, he’ll meet her at the altar, and after a month of living together, being married, they’ll decide on national TV whether they want to stay married or get divorced.

Historically, arranged marriages are a lot more common than love matches. Bellamy kind of thought he knew what to expect out of the whole thing.

He didn’t expect Clarke Griffin.
